Mount Monument is a single vineyard in Victoria’s Macedon Ranges. It sits at the base of a mamelon formed 6.25 million years ago.

It’s elevation and geology of rare volcanic soils contribute to low yields, slow ripening and high quality production.

Mount Monument wine is synonymous with excellence. A unique range of elegant and distinct handcrafted wines are produced in limited quantities.

THE LAND

Mount Monument offers an unspoiled environment in which to produce long-lived complex wines.

At approximately 630m the vineyard's rare volcanic silica soils find expression in our Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

THE WINE

“The Mount Monument wines that have come my way recently are very impressive. The vineyard has pinot noir, chardonnay and riesling in production, and all three of their latest vintages have impressed me.

The 2018 Chardonnay (95 points) is simply gorgeous; the 2018 Pinot Noir took me a while to get to know – it’s a deeply-coloured and quite full-bodied rendition of this grape which is normally lighter and more aromatic in cool Victorian climes. I ended up really enjoying it, especially when it was teamed with food (hard cheeses and charcuterie).”
