More than a retreat. A world unto itself.
Mount Monument is more than where you sleep — it is an entire estate to lose yourself in. Spread across the slopes of the mountain, the property brings together a celebrated winery and restaurant, an extraordinary sculpture park, and your private retreat, all within easy reach of one another and all set against some of the most breathtaking scenery in the region.
Arrive for a long lunch. Wander among sculptures as the light changes. Return to your retreat as the day quietens. This is what a true escape looks like.
Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.
Continental breakfast basket
We deliver a curated selection of locally sourced produce to your retreat, to be savoured at your own pace whilst drinking in the magnificent mountain views.
In-retreat pantry and bar
We can arrange to have your retreat stocked with a thoughtfully curated selection of provisions: local wines, artisan spirits, and a pantry of carefully chosen produce to sustain you between moments of stillness.
Access to the Mount Monument estate
As a retreat guest, the full property is yours to explore. Stroll the Sculpture Park at dawn, lunch at the Winery Restaurant on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, dine there on Friday evenings, unwind and discover at your own pace.
Private walking trails and nature access
Step outside and into the Australian bushland. Private trails wind through the surrounding landscape, offering quiet paths for morning walks, golden-hour wanders, or simply the pleasure of being among trees and sky.
Outdoor hot tub
Available with our Elektra Retreat. Your private hot tub is filled with fresh rainwater, prepared and heated to the perfect temperature — chemical-free, just for your stay. Perfect to enjoy the sunset from or see the stars after dark, beneath an open sky.
Architectural design by Nonda Katsalidis
Every detail of the retreat has been conceived with intention. Luxuriously appointed interiors open to sweeping vistas, blurring the boundary between inside and out, between refuge and landscape.
A low-device sanctuary
We gently invite guests to set screens aside and be fully present. With scenery like this, it’s rarely a hard ask.
